CrazyKillerMan 0 Posted August 10, 2001 Howdy... Just wondering if this is posible: I have created a gif for web display. The gif is 5 different ovals attached with a line (similar to that of a web). What I want to do with this picture is change it on mouseover. This is a fiarly strightforward task, but what I want to do seems to be more complex. Keeping in mind I dont know alot of java (just basics really) and what I want to do is create 5 or so differing images and for each mouseover on each oval, the pic will change displaying the "sub topics" of the highlighted image ie: Behavior Oval; on mouse over; displays the same gif as before except by the oval; Mobility, Migration and Intelligence appears. Then when going to another topic oval, other "sub topics appear" Is there any way of doing this using one big picture??? Any suggestions/new outlooks are welcome. Share this post Link to post
Busby 0 Posted August 10, 2001 Let me get this straight, 5 different images, each one you want a rollover on? If so it is rather easily done. Email me (busby1218@charter.net) or just post here and I'll get back with ya. Share this post Link to post
CrazyKillerMan 0 Posted August 10, 2001 thanx for the speedy reply but I have figured out how to do it. it was 5 images...all the same...but just differences so when I put mouse over a certain area....a certain image appeared. Im gonna use fireworks to split the image up (so dl isnt a problem, instead of 5 big ones, 10 small ones when needed) and using the image map tags i will place the javascript in the <AREA> tags. Unless there is a better suggestion? Share this post Link to post
Xiven 0 Posted August 10, 2001 Sounds like a plan to me. I do most of my work in text editors not GUI editors, but for image maps using Fireworks is far far easier. Share this post Link to post
