Tlaaloc 0 Posted August 10, 2001 I need a portable, external USB CD burner compatible with Windows NT and can't find any. I found a few parallel port CD burners but, I need to feel comfortable that there aren't any such USB drives before I give on up on them. Preferably, I need a USB CD burner I can attach to laptops and desktops that run Windows NT (SP5 on laptop, SP6a on desktop). I was about half-way through my search when I ran into this forum (and site) so, I thought this would be a good place to ask about this while I continue my search. I haven't hit any hardware compatibility lists for NT and USB CD burners yet. tia Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted August 10, 2001 That's because NT4 doesn't support USB. You buy USB programs for alot of $$$ or if you get lucky you MIGHT find a company that wrote a specific driver to get their USB device to work under NT4 but they will be VERY hard to find. I suggest upgrading 'em to NT5 or find some other solution. Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted August 13, 2001 Well, the Zip650 CDRW USB works fine under Win2k...but that's not going to do you much good I guess... Share this post Link to post
