evil Homer 0 Posted August 12, 2001 Title says it all.... Tie Fighter collectors series (Part of the X-Wing collectors series) in the UK. Any idea's on how to get it running under both Windows 2000 and Windows XP? First of all the launcher wants to install DirectX 5.2, and if I try to bluff it with compatibility layers for Win9x, it says it can't find my joystick to start the game. Really want to play this old game, and I don't want to go through the hassle of installing Windows 98. Any idea's would be welcome Homer Share this post Link to post
X-AL 0 Posted August 12, 2001 No problem, man. Use the QFixApp 1.5 Win98-layer, and UNCHECK the emulate joystick flag! Unfortunately, I didn´t manage to run it in D3D mode yet! Share this post Link to post
evil Homer 0 Posted August 12, 2001 QfixApp 1.5??? Is this the MS updates or something 3rd party? Wheres the "emulate joystick" option? I would like a little more information if possible Homer Share this post Link to post
evil Homer 0 Posted August 12, 2001 Heh, got my brain in gear and worked it out.... So applied the fix, works fine, as long as 3d hardware isn't selected... Which is a pain as without 3d hardware, looks really dated... Any idea's on how to fix that too? Homer Share this post Link to post
