I get this stop error on Shutdown I checked MS site but the artcle didnt help me at all.. if you read the artcle I dont have any devices made by that company that couses the problem.. this problem started about 3 weeks ago and happenes like ones a week or so..

Asus p3v4x Motherboard bios 1006.003

Geforce 3 VisionTek 14.20 drivers from Nvidia (not sure if it's 14.20 the latest ones that got leaked)

Sblive Xgamer

Intel NIC pro 100+pro with Inltel latest drivers

also I have VIA drivers version 4.32 installed.

Windows 2000 SP2 with IE 6.0 public Beta..

I have no Idea what can couse this I know it's not Nvidia drivers couse the problem existed in several driver versions.

Any help would really be nice thanks

Hmmm. Is there anything specific you do before you shutdown when it does this, or does it do this all the time?

What's the last piece of hardware you installed before this? What's the last piece of software you installed? What's the last driver you installed?

It's not a problem with ACPI my system has been working sence June 2000 with no problem.. thats all ready a year.. never got blue screens till now... and no formatting isnt an answer here... it has something to do with a drivers I think the way MS site described it.. but how do I know which driver couses the problem

You said it worked since June 2000, when did you add the GF3 card, and then when did you change drivers? Cause you have had to load the newer 4.32 recently and the GF3 drivers.

try booting with the 'last know good hardware configuration' and, keep in mind you're using a beta bios

I don't see why this post made it into the 'hardware' thread, on a second note..
