Brian Frank 0 Posted August 14, 2001 Did the BSOD show you any file in it like a .sys or .dll? Share this post Link to post
_DIMA_ 0 Posted August 15, 2001 No nothing just the error I posted above Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted August 15, 2001 Hmmm. Is there anything specific you do before you shutdown when it does this, or does it do this all the time? What's the last piece of hardware you installed before this? What's the last piece of software you installed? What's the last driver you installed? Share this post Link to post
_DIMA_ 0 Posted August 15, 2001 I dont remmember what software I installed last time.. I didnt add any hardware.. it happenes sometimes when I shut down my system.. but not all the time.. Share this post Link to post
EddiE314 0 Posted August 15, 2001 might be a problem with ACPI and/or APM. check those. Share this post Link to post
_DIMA_ 0 Posted August 15, 2001 It's not a problem with ACPI my system has been working sence June 2000 with no problem.. thats all ready a year.. never got blue screens till now... and no formatting isnt an answer here... it has something to do with a drivers I think the way MS site described it.. but how do I know which driver couses the problem Share this post Link to post
sapiens74 0 Posted August 16, 2001 You said it worked since June 2000, when did you add the GF3 card, and then when did you change drivers? Cause you have had to load the newer 4.32 recently and the GF3 drivers. Share this post Link to post
_DIMA_ 0 Posted August 16, 2001 the 4.32 drivers were added like 2 months ago and GF was added last month.. but the problem started happening recently and I have added alot of software sence then.. couse like I install alot of programs and uninstall then... so I cant rememmber everything I did Share this post Link to post
Halz 0 Posted August 18, 2001 try booting with the 'last know good hardware configuration' and, keep in mind you're using a beta bios I don't see why this post made it into the 'hardware' thread, on a second note.. Share this post Link to post
