PlanetNexiz 0 Posted August 21, 2001 Actually you are supossed to link to the people who put up the article in the first place, not the people who got it from them. ORIGINAL Source: www.planetnexiz.com Share this post Link to post
PlanetNexiz 0 Posted August 21, 2001 Well you might not like it, but that's the way it works. why give credit to someone who merely copy and pasted an article? Share this post Link to post
CrazyKillerMan 0 Posted August 21, 2001 that may be the way it works...but why bring it up here....there is a thing called email. Besides, you cant check out to make sure that every source is legit... Share this post Link to post
PlanetNexiz 0 Posted August 21, 2001 Less ads ? Yeah, good point... There is only supossed to be one ;-) Trying to straighten that out. As far as I know message boards are for you to reply to the original message, I was just trying to reply. As far as weather or not a source is legit, you can plainly see at least on Neowin that the news source is PlanetNexiz.com, and if you go to to that site you can plainly see that it's an exclusive story, not from anyone else... Anyway I just think you should always give credit to the source, something like I saw this over @ Neowin, it was originally posted by PlanetNexiz.com, Windows 2000 SP3, blah blah blah.. Sorry if I pissed anyone off.... Share this post Link to post
EM 0 Posted August 22, 2001 I suppose if it makes you feel better to get the credit for something then you have a right to complain...or you could just get over it like the rest of us. So often in life there is the complaint that "That's not fair" yet no one ever told me that life was fair. If I don't get credit for something and I think I should, I have a choice to make. Is this a battle worth fighting? Will there be a difference in my life if I fight for this? Does it really matter in the long run? Just my thoughts as I read this thread. No offense meant...just meaningless ramblings to take up space and start a flame war. Besides, I went to the link posted above at 9:44 PM PST and there is nothing there but some advertisements. No news or anything else. Share this post Link to post
PM6K 0 Posted August 22, 2001 For some reason I can't reply with the name PM5K. As far as my site, it's hosted on my home computer, and I turned it off for a minute, I thought I had a problem as my 633 Celeron running @ 950 was showing a temperature of 77F. I thought it was odd, maybe even wrong, I checked it, for some reason that thing runs cool as hell even at a 300+ Mhz overclock. Anyway, the people that gave me my domain put this crappy banner and a crappy pop-up, at least until I buy it from them. I prob will, unless I choose a diffrent name, then I might get it from somewhere else. You can see the article here http://66.69.97.122/html/article.php?sid=98&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0 It was posted on Sat at 5:25 CDT. As far as I know the earliest. But yes , you are right, oh well who cares, so everyone gets credit but me, Inquirer links to ntcompatible, them to Neowin, them to me, I suppose I got a handfull of hits from it. Life goes on....
