Brent Bary 0 Posted August 24, 2001 Well I'm a bit stuck installed win 98 SE on c: Have D:& E: avail on hotrod card looked to 46 gig IBM ATA 100 DRIVEso installed win 2000 to D: but win 2000 has decided to make D: E: and E: F: so I have problems with installed apps notpointing to the correct drives is there an easy way to fix twin 98 apps are in c:program files and win 2000 apps are in the win 2000 program files originally tried having all apps common in the c: program files but some wouldent install correctly so kept them to their own os but still having probs any help appreciated ps all partitions using fat 32 and all clean installs didn't have these probs with 98 and nt installed to a dir on the same drive Thanks, Brent Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted August 24, 2001 This is pretty easy to do, though I've not used it. Go into Control Panel, open Administrative tools, click on Computer Management, go to Storage->Disk Management. Right click on the drives that you want to change the letters. The menu that comes up should have "Change Drive Letter and Path". Share this post Link to post
Brent Bary 0 Posted August 27, 2001 well been there done that isn't that simple as win 2000 will not let me change the drive letter of the drive which has the os installed on it and I cant seem to change it from win 98 SE as well else I would chenge the drive from D: to E there and problem would be solved any other ideas??
