starblazer 0 Posted August 31, 2001 Alright, I posted this in the NT4 area (oops) so i'll repost here... I have a quickcam VC Parrallel port version (The USB oen will be here tommorrow and will work with less problems *hopes*)... XP knows its there, but i cant get the software to install right... it wont detect it working, nor will it work .. when i attempt to use it (under yahoo) it says no webcams found... is the QC VC just too old even if it has W2K support? Thanks Adam Share this post Link to post

[H]ard-Turtle 0 Posted September 23, 2001 This afternoon I was able to troubleshoot it to the VIA USB Host controller..not the cam. I've always known that via usb was a finicky thing... XP has native drivers for the cam. I purchased a $20 USB PCI card and all is well...works like a charm. Sad I had to buy something to make it work...but with no driver support for at least a few weeks..I didn't want to wait. Share this post Link to post
