pr-man 1 Posted September 2, 2001 WinXP says that it does not detect any HDs. Winxp also says that it does not recognize the udma-66 highpoint drivers I put on disk. I do not have a seperate ontroller card. HELP!!! Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted September 2, 2001 Have you tried just plugging the HDD into the regular IDE ports and installing XP then? I'd also imagine that XP has drivers for the HTP366, since it is an older Highpoint controller, and XP does have HPT370 drivers with it. Share this post Link to post
pr-man 1 Posted September 2, 2001 so install them using the regular ide channels and then after xp is install plug it into the highpoint controller on the mobo? Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted September 2, 2001 Yup. Just wait to activate until you finish installing all the hardware. If you see an exclamation point in device manager after the install, then we've got a problem. Share this post Link to post
