Black & White - WinXP / Geoforce 3 Startup Problem

Got a major problem when loading BW in XP, in that it goes up to the spinning Lionhead logo, and past that it freezes.

Pops up with a blue error message with a conflict with the nv4_disp.dll and an "infinity loop" - now it is possible that it is actually a conflict with the Geoforce3 or the driver.

 

any ideas?

BW has been patched with all addons

 

System:

WinXP build 2505

Athlon 1 GHZ T-BIRD on a ASUS A7V133 (BIOS1007)

Using default 4n1's from XP

Leadtek Geoforce 3 TDH - Detonator - 12.90

526 SDRAM

until i reinstalled win2k.

 

winxp and geforce 3 just doesn't work right together.

trust me, i worked about 150 hours on this problem... i tried everything.

so its win2k for me
