miku 0 Posted September 7, 2001 Hi Guys, I made an automated install of xp last day. It has only one account, the default Administrator Account. Every time it starts windows, it asks me for my password and there is no option for telling it to remember it. How can I make it remember my password so that it logs on to the computer on every restart automatically. Secondly. When I type in my password, it waits at the screen Loading My Settings.... and I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del for it to proceed. This is weird. Thanks. ARC Share this post Link to post
ThC 129 0 Posted September 8, 2001 get the new version of tweakUI for windows XP, that will allow you to save your password and have it logon automatically. Share this post Link to post
miku 0 Posted September 8, 2001 Thanks THC, but is there any other way of doing it other than installing TweakUI. I think there must a be way to store it or somehow tell it. I do not want to make additional users other than the default Admin User. ARC Share this post Link to post
miku 0 Posted September 8, 2001 Ok I figured it out through research. Here it is: In Run, type the following: 'rundll32 netplwiz.dll,UsersRunDll' Takes to back to the old Windows 2000 User Account Setting. Uncheck the box to autologin. ARC Share this post Link to post
