rbduck 0 Posted September 8, 2001 I've used just about every version of XP. I installed this latest version to a clean hard drive. I set up my home network and pppoe/Internet connection sharing with hardly a problem BUT!!!! Now if I load just about ANY software, I have pppoe connectivity problems. Specifically, I can log on to the server without a problem, but I can't access any web sites on any browser. I've compared network settings before and after loading the software. Everything seems to be the same. DO any of you have any ideas ??? rbduck 0 Posted September 9, 2001 OK... I figured this thing out. I reformatted the drive again (NTFS). Loaded the OS and I'm having no more problems. There is one peculiar thing I noticed. Even though I formatted the entire drive (as verified by a system response), After I installed the OS, all my old folders with their contents were still there.
