SnapperOne 0 Posted September 8, 2001 (Win2K system) When I attempt to enter "winipcfg" in the <START><RUN> box, the following error message appears: "Cannot fint eht file. Make sure the path ahd filename are correct" Can't find winipcfg on the HD anywhere. 1) Shouldn't I be able to access winipcfg? 2) If it's missing, where can I get it and where do I put it on the HD. CUViper 0 Posted September 8, 2001 go to a command prompt (start->run 'cmd') and type 'ipconfig'. Or, if you need more info, type 'ipconfig /all' Share this post Link to post
Atreyu 0 Posted September 9, 2001 Yeah, winipcfg is a Win9x thing. Ipconfig is the NT version, and it is more kickbutt. Share this post Link to post
FadedTimes 0 Posted September 15, 2001 does the graphical interface comfort you? heh. I forgot win9x even had winipcfg. I have been using a non 9x OS for about 3 years. NT/2k/XP Want to know another mess up. NT had a GUI for telnet. 2k/XP have a console based one... *~gag~* Share this post Link to post
CUViper 0 Posted September 15, 2001 if you want to have a gui for telnet, use hyperterm.... the first time you use it, it will establish itself as the default for telnet. Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted September 16, 2001 I hated the GUI telnet in NT. I like the 2k one better....although I do not use it if I want to export text. For that I use Hyperterminal. Share this post Link to post
