I am having the exact same problem. I have a K62 400 on a VIA MVP3 Chipset. I even tried installing a dual port game card to resolve the On/Off issue with the game port. After that failed I installed the ol' stand by .. SoundBlaster 16. It works fine now even the game port.

I am curious if you are using the same VIA chipset, because I remember with 98 that I needed to install an IRQ router driver in order for the SB PCI128 to work at all. Maybe this is the problem.

Any info or input will be helpful.

IM USING A ASUS PB5 MB WITH K6111.

BUT I have used the mvp3 via chipset before on a fic board it works good I have never used it with win2k though.

I too have put in a sb16 and it works great even the game port. But i still would like to get the pci128 working.

have you looked at the hardware question an answers it say we have to disable pnp and reinstall before the card will work check it out I couldnt find the file they were talking about. If you figure it out let me know
