yakkob 0 Posted September 11, 2001 Hey Peeps, Just read this over at the hercules forums > Quote: I just installed the latest Nvidia Detonator v21.81 video drivers on my Win XP system and after rebooting, it also fixed the known problem with my Hercules Game Theater XP sound card. I have 768MB of RAM and am running stock boot.ini with no mods. I have a Geforce3 video card so was anxious to install the latest Nvidia drivers because of performance boost claims. For full thread click here Can't wait to try this tonight. WOOHOO I'll let you know what goes on. Tonight is the time for the format and total clean install GL All Share this post Link to post

Gambler FEX online 0 Posted September 13, 2001 Wait, it seems to work after all. Well a little anyway. The situation is as this: Before det 4 i used 256 ram and it worked a little (50% of times I play sound I get high pitched screeching noise) Now i use det 4 and 320MB ram and it works a little better (25% of times I play sound I get high pitched screeching noise). yakkob 0 Posted September 13, 2001 All my Herc emits is a static sound, no whining. I'll just sit tight for the new HErc Drivers Share this post Link to post
Gambler FEX online 0 Posted September 14, 2001 BTW I use digital out. I've used my GTXP as a stereo-only non-3d sound card so far I plan on getting a nforce mother board (maybe from asus) and send my GTXP back. Share this post Link to post
ThC 129 0 Posted September 14, 2001 it has been said that the herc GTXP will let you use SantaCruz drivers. So try those and see if those work. Share this post Link to post
