GF3+Detonator 4 20.81 and Winxp final+Cs

I have this problem whit cs.....when i try to play it everything works fine....but my ping is always jumping 20-300 and i just installed Detonator 4 20.81 and this still doesnt work frown

 

how come my ping jumps like this everytime....It happends too my friend to and we both have gf3 Just mine is from Msi and his Asus ??

 

Can someone plz help me plz frown

Have you tried a different card at all?

 

You may want to search for this one. I have seen quite a few people having one problem or another with HL games in XP.

 

Off the top of my head I can't think of any reason why your video card would affect your ping...

I tryid playing in software and opengl,Direct3d...i still have this huge ping....even the game crashes every 5-10mins....and i tryid to share my adsl to another winxp client nothing works...i have 2 adapters from same manufactors Macronix ...can that be the problem..?? if it isnt my 3dcard then what can it be???

It sounds like connection problem to me than your graphic card. If you are sharing your DSL connection with someone else then you will have ping flatuation when the other person is downloading a big file while you play.

No nobody is dl on my network.....They can´t even openwebpages or mirc...they can play online but not open anything else

The downloads or traffic in general does not have to be on the client side in order to affect performance. In other words, if you play CS and the server is downloading like crazy, then your ping will be affected.

 

Did anyone think that maybe since the 11, 12th of September the whole world is on www.cnn.com or watching streaming newsfeeds? smile
