Gamma and color wont stay in games??

Using the 21.81 drivers and when i goto properties to change the gamma and color to brighten or fix color in games it wont stay??

 

Like for instance i want to higher gamma so i can see better in CS..Change settings and it dont work...I load diablo 2 and do it and it works???

 

The gamma changed worked b4 when i just installed the det 4's??

I also did that -3dfxgamma thing to the HL.exe...

 

Seems to only work after i load D2 then i will stay??

 

Any ideas??
