_DIMA_ 0 Posted September 15, 2001 I have Windows XP installed with Geforce 3 from VsionTek and Nvidia 21.81 drivers. now i cant set my agp to 4x only 2x. I have Agp4x anable in the bios. I used Power Strip but the agp4x is grayed out. I have Asusp3v4x mb installed. now Via 4in1 drivers they wont install under XP becouse XP doesnt need them. The reg Hack for agp4x that I used before to get agp4x working in w2k doesnt work under XP. any ideas would be helpfull. Share this post Link to post

_DIMA_ 0 Posted September 15, 2001 The reason is you cant install agp 4.05c in Windows XP it wont let you.. and if u force the install god knows what will happen to my Windows XP.. because XP all ready has agp 4.05 drivers Share this post Link to post
ThC 129 0 Posted September 16, 2001 no XP doesnt have the 4.05c drivers. Also to install it you have to run it in 2k comptability mode. Also i found this out too. VIA chipsets DO NOT enable AGP 4x by default I dont know why sounds pretty f-in stupid to me. Also all new registry values use NV not NV4 like the old ones do. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\nv\Device0 "EnableVia4X"=dword:00000001 Share this post Link to post
