Me 0 Posted August 14, 1999 ok guys, im not a newbie to computers, but am a newbie to NT (win2k). Lets start off with the basics: 1. I would like to keep win98 installed. can i partition my drive into a c: and d: and stick 98 on c: and 2k on d ;( if so, how do i choose which OS to boot to on startup? 2.Will i have any probs w/ the following hardware in win2k? celery 550 Abit BH6 TNT 1 pci (stb v4400) MX300 realmagic dvd decoder toshiba dvd-rom WD hard drive netgear 10/100 pci NIC (for cable modem) Zoom 56k dualmode isa modem usb intellimouse usb scanner (umax 1220U) 3. i assume i should d/l NT drivers for this stuff after install. correct? 4.when i get to the point of trying out some software, do i need to install directX or is it built in? that's it for now. any other usefull info would be helpful Thanks for your time! oh yeah, 2k supports fat32 right?
