Mixing drivers in XP not possible???

Tried lot of drivers(12,12 series....)but im particulary interested in mixin 1290 for d3d and 1080 for openGL! Did it in WinMe with no problems at all!!!I mean mixed drivers, not that i mixed 1290 with 1080.

Should work? the new official detXPs are very good for openGL, have you tried those?

They are awful in everything.
