Mike Zamarocy 1 Posted September 19, 2001 Over on the Operation Flashpoint newsgroup, we started talking about games we liked. Well, quite a few seems to have liked this very old game, which I TOO had a blast with it years ago. I was now able to come by it (TOTAL OF ONLY 256K for an awesome game!!!), but it won't play in Win2k. Anyone got any ideas what I can try? Or, . . . as it is only 256k, maybe I just run it off a DOS boot disk and a floppy? Hmmm, or boot from a ZIP disk????? Share this post Link to post
Kaiser 0 Posted September 20, 2001 AAhh...I remember playin that on an Amiga 500 ages ago!! One of the all-time greats! I doubt you'll get it running somehow but you should try Hostile Waters as in many ways its very similar and it runs just fine in 2k Share this post Link to post
Mike Zamarocy 1 Posted September 20, 2001 I DID get it running! Just had to make a good ol' fashioned DOS boot disk. And the game, the ENTIRE game which is just 2 files that total near 300K, fit on that same disk with plenty of room for save games. Just need to make sure to have a DOS mouse driver as well. Do you want a copy of it? And what is that Hostile Waters all about? Share this post Link to post

Mike Zamarocy 1 Posted September 21, 2001 Hmmm, the game does look nice, and has at least the element of the "Carrier", . . . but I do remember there was another game released awhile ago that WAS very much like Carrier Command, and was also multi-player. I just can not remember it. I did have it at least around 1997, but everything I had got stolen in Oct 97, so no longer have it. But from what my foggy mind remembers, it was a fun game! Do you maybe remember what it was? Share this post Link to post
