avalon1492 0 Posted September 19, 2001 I have tolerated a good deal of discussion about "w4rez", but DO NOT EVER ask for a product key, or a location for such on this board. You have been warned. EDITED BY CLUTCH Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted September 20, 2001 Any illegally obtained software.w,a,r,e,z (no commas) is what that is, but putting it like this: ***** , is one of the words that's filtered. We're not saying your Win2k isn't legitimate, but passing out product keys or giving you info isn't allowed here and other forums. XP has been obtained illegally by people, and piracy is one of the things that goes along with something this big. The only solutions you have are to find your Win2k CD case, or buy a new copy. My only question is why your CD isn't in the case--which has the CD on it. Share this post Link to post
SHS 0 Posted September 20, 2001 Or you have call Microsoft and need send your Win2000 CD to Microsoft and then Microsoft send back to you with new CD Key and your CD ocen they see it the real deal CD. Man you should never ever loess that Win2k CD case. Share this post Link to post
Ge0ph 0 Posted September 20, 2001 I have lost a key before and it sucks big time. So one of the first things I do is get a sharpie and write the key on the disk. Share this post Link to post
avalon1492 0 Posted September 20, 2001 Thanks for the replies. I was kind of blown away by the vehemence of the reply, but I can see it makes sense. I am for real, and I am happy to say that after looking thru my desk for the 40th time, I found the manual and product key fallen behind a drawer. Joy! I will be writing the key on the disc as recommended. Thnx Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted September 20, 2001 Clutch is usually pretty mellow, but it was just your bad luck for timing. It's because of piracy, and giving product keys or posting info how to get around product keys or illegally obtain software could end up in a nasty lawsuit. We don't want that.
