Q:How Can I dl IE6 without the dl utility?

Hi, I want to install IE6 on computers without an Internet conn. so I need the full package but I can't find the option of d/l the installtion files to my h.d...Any option?

1st you DO need at least one system with net access.

then you download the little IE downloader from ie then you run it like this: ie5setup.exe /c:"ie5wzd.exe /d /s:""#E"""

Where do I get the ie6wzd.exe?

When I try "c:\ie6setup /?" I get the following commandline options:

 

/Q , /T:<full path> , /C , /C:<CMD>

 

 

I found the win2000 package still on my hd after I installed it so thats one o.s. covered. Now I need the nt4/9x/me ones.

Just do as Igor said

 

Type this into the command line exactly:

 

ie6setup.exe /c:"ie6wzd /d /s:""#E"""

 

You don't need to find the file ie6wzd, just run the thing and it'll work. You can then choose which os's you want to download for.

 

If the above one doesn't work try:

 

ie6setup.exe /c:"ie6wzd /d:1"

 

I can't really try either out at the moment but they do similar things. I'm sure someone else can explain what each command line argument does.
