Philipp 6 Posted September 27, 2001 Accelenation have posted their review of the Hercules Fortissimo II soundcard. The Fortissimo II, as I am sure you can guess, is the follow-up to Hercules´ successful Fortissimo card and offers quite a few notable features which set the two apart. First of all The Fortissimo 2 uses Crystal´s SoundFusion 4624 audio processor, a scaled-down version of their 4630 chip that powers Hercules´ GameTheater XP card. Now this card is intended to serve the same purpose as something like an AMD Duron processor. It is supposed to give you the most ´bang for the buck´ and offer features which no other sounds cards offer for the same cost. The question is, does it succeed?
