jwl812 0 Posted September 30, 2001 I am new to the Win2k thing so please bare with me. Someone told me that you can't burn CDs if your system is formated with NTFS. Can someone please shed some light on this subject for me? Thanks. Share this post Link to post
Xiven 0 Posted September 30, 2001 Someone was either lying or doesn't know what they're talking about. Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted September 30, 2001 Yup. People come up with the weirdest things. I'm not sure what is worse: the stuff that is real, or the stuff that people make up. Share this post Link to post
jwl812 0 Posted September 30, 2001 He made a pretty good argument that cdfs was not compatible with ntfs. That readable cdfs was but cds could not be written to through ntfs. Thanks and I will put a foot in his a**! I should post his name and email address for all to pound on him. Share this post Link to post

Brian Frank 0 Posted September 30, 2001 I heard some story about a Mac user saying that XP makes the user pay royalties to MS when you install hardware. MS couldn't get away with that in the first place, and Product Activation already has enough people pissed off. I've burnt a bunch of drivers and updates for a friend in Win2k under NTFS, and he can read them fine under 98. Share this post Link to post
graz 0 Posted October 1, 2001 I've burnt some tens of CDs on 2kPro, and they're all working fine on my 98 at home (which I should upgrade to 2k sooner or later btw... ) FatFish-> that would be great! Regards, Graz Share this post Link to post
