Internet connection problems

Recommended Posts

Over the last few weeks I have been having some problems with my internet connection. Sometimes it would work fine and others it would just stop and I'd get loads of Received Errors.

After a lot of searching I found that the connection was fine until I played an Audio CD though Media Player and then the connection would go to pot. Until I stopped playing the CD and it would start to work again.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Man that sounds wicked...

First of all post your specs, along with the IRQ listing (if u're not running ACPI). It might be a conflict between soundcard and NIC. Does it happen only with AudioCDs or with any audio?

More details please, dont be greedy, esp.if you want to get a decent answer smile

The CDs is set to DMA (Multi-Word DMA Mode 2).

Thanks for all you help but I guess I'll just have to not play CDs when I'm on the internet.

I'm getting a new case soon (If I can find anywhere in the UK that sells the thing) and so I plan to update all the BIOS’s and stuff from my system.

Can anyone tell me what the best bios versions for my system?

Thanks
