Help me, Installation Problems

Hi all,

 

For the last few days when ever i try and install anything in Windows 2000 (SP2) I get a Microsoft Visuall C++ Runtime Error message box saying

 

"MSVCRT.dll for win32

 

ERROR: MSVCRT.DLL is not compatible with Win32s"

 

and an OK box, when I click ok I am told that the application failed to initalise properly and gives a Hex number Click okay to terminate the application appears.

 

 

any ideas what is broken and how to fix?

Replace MSVCRT.dll with another one, yours could be corrupted. I can send u my copy of MSVCRT.dll if you like.
