SIM CITY 3000 in Windows 2000 or XP Professional

Hi i was just wondering if someone could help me. Right now I am running Windows 2000 Professional and I am getting a Windows XP Professional soon. I would like to buy SIM CITY 3000 UNLIMITED for my computer but i am NOT sure weather it will work on my computer or if there are any sideaffects from installing it. If someone could please help me...thank you!

I live in Sweden and my daugther bought the Sim City Unlimited from the states. On her W2K PC she cannot load the game. Help!!!!! Any sugestions?????
