windows 2000 fails to recognize shares in Windows XP

Ok people, this is not as as simple as it sounds. Yes, I HAVE enabled the "remote access" option from within windows XP such that network machines can connect to it! Also, I have shared at leasty one folder in XP so that machines can "See" the XP machine. The windows 2000 machines seems to fail to see any of the shares under XP even though all remote access features in XP have been turned on and it firewall turned OFF!
