Playboy 0 Posted October 10, 2001 I have a problem with my Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback. The software I have is to Windows 98/ME but I have Windows 2000. Do any of you know if there is and where I can find a patche so I can get it to work at my computer??!! Its the buttoms that are not working when I play GP3. When Im in the software program to the wheel everything seems to be fine, but when I go into the game it doesn't work!! Do you know what I can do?! Share this post Link to post
JP- 0 Posted October 10, 2001 Hi I have the same joystick, and you dont need the sidewinder software to get it working. Just go into control panel->game devices and then add 'sidewinder (auto detect)' and it should detect it and then it works. Hope this helps. Share this post Link to post
Playboy 0 Posted October 11, 2001 Thank you for your answer, but that is not the problem. When I play GP3 I can use the wheel to turn, accelerate and brake but all the buttoms don't work. And I think it is caused by the software. Share this post Link to post
kgeissler 0 Posted October 11, 2001 You can use the Sidewinder software that came with the wheel. When you go to install it, it will say it hasn't been test with Win2k, but choose to install it anyway. Also, make sure you have loaded DirectX 8. BTW, is this a USB or a serial port wheel? Thanks for your help, but I still have a problem with the buttoms. There don't work when I play GP3.
