FatFish 0 Posted October 19, 2001 maybe he is the chip designer of the Itaniums. so he doesn't need to buy it, but if he is the designer, intel will pay him enough to buy whatever he wants. Share this post Link to post
Dragon-Lord 0 Posted October 22, 2001 No, I was serious. I am beta testing Itaniums for Intel. I have three on hand and they are very nice indeed. Can't say too much more, of course...at least not yet. :} Share this post Link to post
FatFish 0 Posted October 22, 2001 does intel provide the motherboard and the 64bit WinXP too? Share this post Link to post
Dragon-Lord 0 Posted October 23, 2001 yes and no. The chip, mobo, case, etc., comes from Intel, since they build these early reference designs. The WinXP-64 used to come from MS via Intel, but you can now download the 64-bit versions direct from MS via MSDN. :} Share this post Link to post
