SHS 0 Posted September 17, 1999 Yes It work for me even with my Duel modem setup, but your ISP must support it for it to work. Share this post Link to post
Jasonian 0 Posted September 20, 1999 Well maybe if you had more info you could help more eh? First off, I run win98 / win2k dual boot. I primarily use and probably will use 98 till win2k is done. So here it is. I run 98 to play quake2 online. I run stac on my lucent modem with no problems in win98. Basically to get that I had to DISABLE hardware compression, and enable the software compression box. I am then running stac. Well I found a check box in win2k that says "stac compression" but it is enabled by default. If you have any ideas I would greatly appreciate it. ------------------ Jasonian Share this post Link to post
SHS 0 Posted September 20, 1999 Is the lucent modem PCI ? if so then is Softmodem & it has no hardware compression like real modem dose. In Windows98 you can get away with a lot more then in Windows2000. Share this post Link to post
