Does WindowsXP Home version use Services?

I know the OS's are based on the same shell, i just dont want my father to buy the home edition if it doesnt run services.

Of' course it runs services. Its practically the same thing.

I thought so, just wasnt 100% sure. No one on the net talks about home version.
