kgeissler 0 Posted October 25, 2001 I want to get a 7200 RPM HD, don't need a lot of space only about 20GB. Which one of these should I get? They are all about the same price: IBM Deskstar 60GXP Ultra ATA/100 8.5ms 7200RPM 20GB Seagate Barracuda IV 20GB ATA 100 Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 20GB 7200RPM Ultra DMA 100 Share this post Link to post
JP- 0 Posted October 25, 2001 I would have an IBM personally. Authough i have heard of people having reliability problems, ive had 4 and never had any trouble. I have however had 3 maxtors fail on me, which wasnt nice Share this post Link to post
Palos 0 Posted October 25, 2001 I got a 60 GB IBM Deskstar 60GXP 7200 rpm, it kicks ***. Along with my old Maxtor 20 GB 5400rpm (now used as backup and ftp storage) Share this post Link to post
pmistry 0 Posted October 25, 2001 I have a Maxtor DiamondMax Plus ATA100 20 gb 7200 RPM and it is fast, reliable, and quiet. Never had an IBM drive so I can't comment, but Maxtor is cheaper I think. Western Digital you left out, but many like them. TO hell with FUJITSU. Share this post Link to post
