Soundblaster CT4620, CT4670, CT4760 users

I have the CT4620 card and am very annoyed about the drivers situation, i decided to try the drivers for the Sound Blaster Live! / Value (CT483x, CT478x)card and they have installed fine so far, and seem to be working, though it only installed 2 applications as far as i can tell

how do i determine which version of the sb live i am running?

(i'm using windows xp pro)

open your case and pull out the card. its printed on it.

actually.. i think i just found an easier way..

open up 'dxdiag' (use the run menu).. and go to the sound tab.

check the string in the device id.

 

found out i had the full version of the sblive w/o opening the case.
