I have a TNT 2 Ultra and i have never gotten more than 70fps in Q3 (Using 1024x768, full detail ad almoast everything on)

This isn't very helpful, but now you are not alone having bad fps wink

Maybe it's time for an upgrade to the latest detonator drivers?

the new detonators are optimized for the geforce / 2 / 3 not the tnt series why don't you uset the 6.18 or whatever driver in winxp and see how it scores

i know what is doing that performance deficit -> desktop color depth

when i switch into 16 bit (WinXP has 32bit default and looks very good in 32bit) all become like before... my 115 FPS is back... but when switch into 32bit, 66 fps appears 8(

i spent a little time of trying which driver is best for me.. when i installed one, i automaticly switch into 1024x768 and 32bpp... but when i tryed 6th version (+/- :-)) of driver, after windows starts 1st thing i did was that i run Q3 and look at the performance... wow it moves so fast, like on W2k!... i turn off my PC and went sleep lucky :), next day i turn on PC and adjust resolution and color depth... start Q3... oh my god.. confused

now i have 16bitz desktop frown but good Q3 preformance laugh

i dont know how to make my Q3 run fast with 32bpp desktop... :-)

BTW Manos66 i'am playing Q3 under 640x480, i play it on profi level smile i need best framerate i can do on my machine... i know Riva TNT1 is not the newest one... wink

i'm sorry about my english smile its realy bad.. ;(
