LarryTT 0 Posted November 5, 2001 I have a home network running NT4. MY Espon printer is connected to the server locally and is shared. My Win2K box prints to the Epson no problem using the NT4 drivers and Win98 drivers (I foret which it is actually using). I just rebuilt my main computer which used to run Win98 and NT4 Workstation, it is now XP Pro. How can I add the printer to XP? I have tried connecting to it by adding a network printer. It sees the printer, but will not install it because the drivers is not compatible with XP. I guess XP does not like NT drivers and 9x drivers. I can install the computer locally to this computer because the Epson driver comes somewhere on the XP cd, where I don't know exactly. My question is, how can I add the new OS printer driver to NT Server? I have tried just about any way I can think of, including adding a new port on the XP box using my IP address to the server. It just keeps finding the "bad" drivers and refusing to install the printer. Thanks in advance if anyone can offer me some help. Share this post Link to post
