cyberguru 0 Posted November 11, 2001 Im not posting this for help, cos noone can help, this is a complaint and im gonna send something along the same lines to Herculese/Guillemot... I have a divx film that i would like to play and when I do the sound messes up. I have installed the same divx codec on my girlfriends machine and played the movie on her pc (Duron 750/XP Pro). And it was fine. I know its the fu!!ing game theater xp messing up. Im ready to send the frigging thing back. But just as a matter of interest is anyone else having problems with this type of setup...? Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted November 12, 2001 Try turning down the sound acceleration to the second notch from the left. Even with the new drivers I have to do this. With the Live 5.1 and the latest drivers I still have to do this. I only hope that with the Audigy that I will not.....but I doubt it. Share this post Link to post
cyberguru 0 Posted November 12, 2001 Ive actually fixed the problem.. Im not really sure but its something to do with mediaplayer not initialising the sound properly. If I use winamp first and then start playing the movie and quit winamp everything is ok... But the point is that I paid over £110 for this card because it was supposed to have hardware accelleration, and Im not happy with having to turn it down. Share this post Link to post
