cyberguru 0 Posted November 12, 2001 I have the same problem, I actually think its a graphics problem... Maybe check for some new drivers. There was a few results for the explorer mouse thing somewhere...one was mine...! Share this post Link to post
shassouneh 0 Posted November 13, 2001 We need more info to help resolve this issue folks! Such an issuea (just like many windows issues) can be caused by a wide variety of possibilities. I may not be able to know the solution off the top of my head, but with more info the least I can do is research it, or maybe someone on the forum might be able to give an educated guess. Also, your system specificatons may be very helpful. Aso, a lost of installed programs would be great too! :-) Share this post Link to post
shassouneh 0 Posted November 13, 2001 oops, i meant more DETAILED system specs! I just looked at your posts again. What i meant was detailed information may be helpful! Share this post Link to post
cyberguru 0 Posted November 13, 2001 The signiture i leave on posts is more or less my detailed config... unless you want card revisions!! (LOL) But something else I have just remembered is that my PSU might be overworked... Wish I could afford a new one.. Share this post Link to post
shassouneh 0 Posted November 14, 2001 hmm, that doesn't sound too good! try releieving it of some load! :-) Share this post Link to post

If you want more i'll email you the rest of the specs 1.60mb txt file. < Processor(s) > Processor(s): AMD Athlon Processor @ 705MHz Performance Rating: PR938 (estimated) L2 On-board Cache: 512KB Synchronous write-back < Mainboard and BIOS > Bus(es): ISA AGP PCI USB SMBus/i2c MP Support: No MP APIC: No System BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. shassouneh 0 Posted November 14, 2001 sounds like a hefty load for only 200W. try powering down some devices **shrugg* Share this post Link to post
shassouneh 0 Posted November 14, 2001 Ok, let me (and maybe others) do some research here. If i stumble across anything useful I'll let you know, even though I doubt I'll have much time to do any research since I'm up to my neck with college work right now :-( Share this post Link to post
cyberguru 0 Posted November 14, 2001 kyairan, how did you get all that info from your PC, is it an app I can download? Share this post Link to post
HarU 0 Posted November 14, 2001 kyairan, kill daemon tools. When i tried running that, my comp BSOD'd A LOT. Just a suggestion....also, kill winamp and surf the web without it to see if it crashes. If it doesn't then turn it on. Do this until you can pin point whether or not it has anything to do with your sound drivers or excess memory load. Just out of curiosity, what is your page file set at? With 256 megs of ram, i would put it at about 512-768 page file. Hope this helps.. Share this post Link to post
kyairan 0 Posted November 14, 2001 Cyberguru, Get Sandra 2001 Professional from this link. Please, don't post any w4rez links here. Thank you. EDITED BY clutch Well I've turned off 'automatic restart' so when I get the error again i'll write it down or read the sys log. I'll increase the page size and i've unistalled Daemon Tools so we'll see what happens. It crashed the other day without winamp running so it's probably nothing to do with that. Thanks for your help shassouneh. I'll post any new developements. Share this post Link to post
cyberguru 0 Posted November 14, 2001 Thnaks for the link. And if anyones interested I just flashed my BIOS and now my CPU is detected properly. Its a Gigabyte 7IXE4, and the new bios is F9, but its a beta !! Share this post Link to post
kyairan 0 Posted November 15, 2001 Ok, it was Daemon Tools. Thanks. This error message came up about a minute after unistalling and reinstalling. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Sounds like a problem with that dodgy virtual SCSI device. Share this post Link to post
HarU 0 Posted November 15, 2001 Yeah...i figured it was. glad i could help. Share this post Link to post
