felix 0 Posted November 16, 2001 Guys, I just installed a TNT2 M64 w/TV-out and connected it to my VCR/TV. When I watch DVD's on my monitor, all's cool. However, when I switch to TV-out the DVD plays but the picture doesn't appear. Does anyone know why this would be? I'm using the latest (21.83) detonators. Share this post Link to post
Windows95 0 Posted November 16, 2001 The problem is that your TNT card doesn't have Macrovision (I doubt that it does anyhow). WinDVD checks to see if your video card has Macrovision, if not, no TV out. Here is the quote from the WinDVD page: "Our software will not allow playback of DVDs with graphic boards that contain a TV out component unless they use Macrovision to prevent the creation of an illegal copy of the DVD title." So let me get this straight, unless your video card manufacturer is a butt buddy of the MPAA no DVDs on your TV with WinDVD? Does anyone see anything wrong with this? Share this post Link to post
felix 0 Posted November 16, 2001 Whilst I am going to recommend this proggy - I am not an employee or friend of the developer. Use TVTool with NVidia Cards to get a TV Out w/out macrovision. TVCC2000 (available on same site) performs the same function and is freeware nut has less features. Works with all software DVD players. Read about and get TvTool here: http://www.tvtool.de/index_e.htm Provides a nice image too. Share this post Link to post
