Fenris 0 Posted December 6, 2001 Hello!! I have installed Win XP pro on my PC. After I did this I got the same DVD playback problems as I had in Win 98/ME untill i checked on the DMA for my DVD player. After this it was smooth and nice:-) Now when I got XP the movies are choppy, and I wonder if there is a way to activate the DMA for my DVD player? I cant find it. My system is: P3 866 Asus CUSL2 Motherbord Asus G-force 2 MX 32 Pioner slot in 10x DVD player Soundblaster live 1024 Please help:-) Fenris Share this post Link to post
Xiven 0 Posted December 6, 2001 Go to device manager (Right-click "My Computer", click Manage then go to Device Manager). Go to "IDE/ATAPI controllers", double-click either the primary or secondary channel and go to advanced settings. Change any device that's on PIO to "DMA if available". Share this post Link to post
