just a suggestion here, but wouldn't it be better to have those links to articles pop open a new window instead of using the same window?

Sweet! I have been meaning to ask about that, but I am so used to holding the shift key when I click on links that I want in a new window that I don't think of it.

yah, i'm used to the right click 'open in new window' myself but i was just mentioning that as a way of keeping users on the site instead of directing them to the other sites.
