Net Watcher in XP Pro

Recommended Posts

Is there a program in XP that will allow me to see who is on my computer over the network? I remember in Win ME and 98 I guess for that matter, there was a program called "Net Watcher" that allowed me to see who was on my computer and what files they were looking at, and the amount of time they were on etc... I live in residence at University here in Toronto, and was just wondering if there was such a program in Win XP Pro. If so, what is it called and how do I get to it...Also, would you know of any programs you could download from the net that would allow this...that is, better then the old Net Watcher?

Thanks!!!

Right-click "My Computer" and click Manage, go to "Shared Folders" and then in "Sessions" you can see who is connected and in "Open Files" you can see what files they're accessing.

That's great! Thanks!!! Now is there a way that I can put a shortcut to those "sessions" and "open files" on my desktop for fast checking?

The best I could figure out is to create a shortcut to "fsmgmt.msc". You'd still have to then click either "Sessions" or "Open Files" on the window that pops up though.
