Banshee D3D & Glide for Win2k RC2

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I am also in a likewise position. I have almost all those files from those instructions except for the 2 that are suppose to be in that drivers.cab file of the 2114 build. I can't find that win2k build anywhere so i can't get those 2 files frown.gif

OK, I got those 2 files, banshee.dll and banshee.sys. Do I have to boot into safe mode to replace them? Something is messed up with my computer and when I try and boot in safe mode it just idles at the "Windows is starting" screen. Is there any other way to do this?

Please any thoughts?

If your computer is dualbooting, boot from other OS and copy these two files. ( If your dualboot is win9x and win2000, filesystem of winnt folder must not be NTFS.)

or, use inf file extracted from Banshee_NT5_D3D_Glide.zip.

(Before install, store banshee.sys and banshee.dll in the winnt\inf folder somewhere else and delete them.

then uninstall banshee driver and restart.)

Sweet! Thanks guys! Quake 2 and 3 work now! If anyone wants a copy of this set of drivers, just drop me an e-mail (spacey99@home.com) or icq msg (2991793). I noticed now that in the display info though, the driver has no recognized opengl or direct3d support? I guess that doesn't really matter cuz the banshee is never used for that...always Glide. But was that expected?
