jwl812 0 Posted December 10, 2001 Checking to see if anyone else is experiencing hard-drive thrashing for about 5 seconds after WinXP 2600 boots up and comes up to the desktop. It appears XP is either looking for something or is completing some kind of task after the desktop comes up. I have check in 'services' for the culprit but since I am new to the whole NT thing I probably don't know what to look for. Share this post Link to post
Nemesis 1 Posted December 10, 2001 jwl812, Check the System Log in the Event Viewer for any disk errors, you may have a bad block on the disk. Share this post Link to post
