ptweasel 0 Posted December 11, 2001 The driver I'm using now is the one that I just installed from Windows Update. Seems to work just fine. Share this post Link to post
Ant -|- One 0 Posted December 11, 2001 Sound just seem ok in Soul Reaver 2 with the drivers installed during XP install, anything else to do ? Is it worth upgrading the drivers with the 9 megs provided by Creative ? Share this post Link to post
Hykster 0 Posted December 13, 2001 www.soundblaster.com has the latest XP drivers for your SB sound card. Share this post Link to post
pmistry 0 Posted December 13, 2001 Antoine de Rorthais, Yes I do think it is advisable to update to Creative's drivers. I had no problems with them at all and AudioHQ and Surround Mixer are bundled with the drivers. The only useful applications from the Live! Packages. The drivers gave me much fewer headaches than the other XP ones or the updated ones on MS's site. Share this post Link to post
Minotaur 0 Posted December 14, 2001 i have one way of getting the live! to work, it is a LOOOONG and roundabout way,. but it worked for me. i installed win2k got it all running fine then UPGRADED to winXPpro keeping all my cards in their slots sound nic agp then after the upgrade, i got winXP drivers and installed them for the agp nic diddn't need to worry about and the live! well it works, but all my old software like pc2 and soforth wouldn't install...... failed to load plug in type of messages i then went and downloaded and installed the 8meg patch at creative lags site. all my live!sheet works.... like i said this looks like alota work just to get the live! going... but it worked for me, and untill winXP and creative get their heads on right, i will run a win2k setup then UPGRADE to XP scenario.... kaoken006 0 Posted December 17, 2001 Wow, thanks Minotaur, and you other guys that helped too. Your idea seems very strong, but i do not own win2k. I was wondering, will it work if i get win98se and upgrade my drivers to xp, then upgrade my os to xp? Share this post Link to post
