JimmyK 0 Posted October 19, 1999 Yes it does dude..... I just took a screen cap of my dxdiag. I tested direct 3d and Ddraw, then never worked for me before with rc2 and they both do now. here is where I uploaded the pic, its 100k jpg file. Both test worked for me flawlessly. http://www.geocities.com/CollegePark/Lounge/6024/Images/ddraw_affirmative.jpg Share this post Link to post
JimmyK 0 Posted October 19, 1999 to be totally honest, I dont think I understood most of ur message SHS. Share this post Link to post
Morto 0 Posted October 19, 1999 WOW! I just want to check these few points, JimmyK. 1. These drivers enable D3D, direct draw and OpenGL. 2. The direct draw test actually draws something. 3. The D3D output is O.K (i.e not really slow or with poly errors). If this driver passes all these points, I'm there! (Now I've just gotta find decent drivers for my Sh*t MX300). Thanks, Morto. Bugs 0 Posted October 19, 1999 Tried 3.52. D3D and DDraw work both OK. At least till now The 3.52 drivers aren't anymore at telekotz.de (kinda legal stuff) -D4D Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted October 19, 1999 Using: Build 2128 DirectX7 Final Release NVidia 3.52 drivers Everything appears to work. DXDIAG - both DD and D3D work UT - using D3D Q3A - using OpenGL Tirtanium 1.60 - using both D3D and OpenGL Based on this, I'm tempted to updated my day-to-day usage 2072 install to 2128. JimmyK 0 Posted October 20, 1999 Thats what I was saying as well SHS, that the older drivers even though they said there is ddraw it didnt work because I tried playing dvd movies and it couldnt. But now with the new drivers everything works, and it passes all the tests in dxdiag. with the older drivers it never passed the direct draw test for me. NOw I got agp working ddraw working and d3d working. I still am lost with ur first post when u said "Sorry it not DDraw it Direct3D that why DVD did work before." what is not ddraw? and DVD did NOT work for me before, maybe u had better luck. All I know is I got everything working and I am happy as a camel in water. one more thing with the OLD drivers I was using it said d3d works and so does ddraw BUT ddraw did not work in actuality. SHS 0 Posted October 20, 1999 You said > Im watching a dvd using ddraw Win you should have said Direct3D & not the DirectDraw DDraw = DirectDraw "2D Only" D3D = Direct3D "Game, DVD so on down the line" Share this post Link to post
