SilenceX 0 Posted December 21, 2001 Hi! I'm running WinXP Pro and sometimes it just freezes. After a view seconds a bluescreen appears telling me that NV4_disp.dll (or something like that) caused an error and that the system is going to be rebootet. Then XP reboots. Afterwards it's running fine again. My system: AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 512 MB RAM Asus A7V266-E MoBo Geforce 2 Ti 64MB DDR-RAM Sb Live! Value Does anyone know how to fix this problem? mister_man 0 Posted December 21, 2001 I'd say you have the Infinite Loop BSOD. It happens with most VIA chipsets using NVIDIA XP drivers on either Win 2k or XP. Try the latest 4 in 1's. They may help you. Share this post Link to post
crossy 0 Posted December 22, 2001 I agree with mister_man, update to the VIA 4.37 drivers and see how that goes. If this fails I would swap your memory out if you have any spare and test it with different memory. Good luck Share this post Link to post
simply 0 Posted December 24, 2001 i've the same problem......... its a huge bug !!!!! I'm dualboot with ME/XP...and with ME no problem... I try al the detonator NVia drivers....but no luck.... SilenceX 0 Posted December 24, 2001 Hi! I read the article at viaarena.com but it wasn't very helpful. But now I think I fixed the problem for me. I did a complete WinXP reinstall, did NOT install the via 4-in-1 drivers, removed my SB Live! and installed the nVidia 23.11 Detonators. Now everything is fine, no BSOD anymore.
