blueicebear12 0 Posted December 26, 2001 How can I install DirectX 7.0 or trick NT to support programs which require DirectX 7.0? I'm trying to install a new version of Magic the Gathering on my NT box, but the program requires DirectX 7.0. MS only supports 6.0 for NT. Is there a registration entry I can tweak, an unsupported upgrade or some other method to do this? Thanks, Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted December 26, 2001 MS only supports DX3 on NT4. Hacks were made to integrate DX5/6 into NT4 but they were hardly full implementations. The drivers for your video card themselves also have to implement higher DX functions which is why you don't see DX7/8 for NT4. So no. No DX7 for NT4. Share this post Link to post

I haven't seen a DX7 hack though. Maybe time to upgrade to Win2K? Share this post Link to post
