Miked0072 0 Posted January 3, 2002 Hello there, last night I installed WindowsXP Professional. Well I got to my desktop and theres no sound at all. Now I went to Sounblaster.com, and searched there, well guess what. They said that WinXPRO, -has native drivers with support for my card. The card is a Sound Blaster16 Wav Effects ISA. I tried using the installation cd and it said I needed to have PNPISA.SYS for NT INSTALLATIONS. Now, when I installed Winxp, it said crative sounblaster in the device manager, but no sound would come out of the speakers, let me tell you. Well, if you want to contact SoundBlaster your S.O.L (crap out of luck), they dont provide any kind of real support that I have seen on there website. So, I'm asking if anyone can help me with this, I'm stuck! Thanks in advance Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted January 3, 2002 ISA is being dropped in XP, which means unless you can find those files--they may be with a NT or Win2k disc--you'll have to go back to your old OS or buy a new sound card. Share this post Link to post
Miked0072 0 Posted January 6, 2002 I got it to work. With a little toying around with drivers, I got lucky Share this post Link to post
